Which plan fits your trip
- Daily data, 1.5 GB a day for 3 to 30 days. Suits city breaks and rail trips with steady use. After the day's allowance, speed drops sharply and comes back when the allowance resets.
- Unlimited, 3 to 15 days. For heavy users and remote work. A fair-use policy applies; the plan details say how.
- A one-day plan with 0.6 GB, for a stopover or a single day across a border.
Your allowance is shared across every country on the list: no separate quota per country.
Before you fly
- Check your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked: the 30-second check.
- Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi: iPhone or Android.
- When you land, switch data roaming on for the eSIM line only.
More on planning a multi-country trip: eSIM for Europe.
Networks in Europe
The plan connects to a local partner network in each covered country, so data roaming must be on for the eSIM line. Coverage is strong in cities and along the main rail corridors; tunnels and remote stretches on long train journeys can drop the signal briefly on any network. Want to know which network a plan uses in a given country? Ask us at support@esimlounge.com.
How to install your eSIM
Install it at home before you fly, then switch it on when you land.
Check your phone
Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier unlocked. Most phones from the last few years do.
Scan the QR code
Scan the code from your email while you still have Wi-Fi at home. It takes about two minutes.
Switch on when you land
Turn on the eSIM line and data roaming for it. Keep your usual SIM for calls and texts if you like.
Europe eSIM questions
Does the Europe plan work in the UK and Switzerland?
Yes. Both are on the list of 30 countries, along with Liechtenstein. Norway, Iceland and Turkey are not.
Do I need a new eSIM in each country?
No. One install covers all 30 countries. Your phone joins a local partner network automatically when you cross a border.
When does the plan start?
On most plans, the days start counting when the eSIM first connects to a network in a covered country, not when you install it.
Will I keep my phone number?
Yes. Your usual SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts, and the eSIM carries your mobile data. Keep data roaming off on your usual SIM to avoid roaming fees.
Is an eSIM cheaper than my own carrier's roaming in Europe?
Usually, yes. US and Australian carriers typically charge a daily pass for each day you use your phone abroad, and since Brexit many UK plans charge a daily fee in Europe too. Over a week those passes add up to more than a plan here. Check your own plan's roaming terms to compare.
