About eSIM Lounge
What eSIM Lounge is
eSIM Lounge sells data-only eSIMs for travelers. You pick a plan for the country or region you are visiting, pay, and receive the eSIM by email within minutes. You install it before you fly, and your phone is online when you land, without a local SIM card or roaming charges from your usual carrier.
Each plan shows its coverage, data allowance and number of days before you pay. The plans give you mobile data, not a phone number: your usual SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts.
Where your eSIM comes from
Our eSIMs are issued by Xplori, an eSIM provider that works with mobile operators in each country we cover. We sell its plans under our own name, at our own prices, and look after you ourselves.
Here is what happens when you buy:
- You pay us at checkout. The card payment goes through Stripe.
- We order the eSIM from Xplori. It issues a new eSIM profile for your plan.
- We email you its QR code, the one-tap install links and the activation code, usually within a few minutes.
- When you land, your phone joins a local operator's network as a roaming partner. That is why data roaming must be on for the eSIM line.
Each country page lists that country's main mobile networks. If you need to know which one your plan uses before you buy, write to us.
Who runs it
eSIM Lounge is run by Reflekt Lab, a software studio in Bordeaux, France, founded by Hugo Matthaey.
Before eSIM Lounge, Hugo co-founded Side, a staffing platform that Randstad acquired in 2022. During his INSEAD Global Executive MBA he flew to modules in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, and he has since travelled to San Francisco and Dubai: every one of those trips started with finding mobile data on landing.
