Which versions of the Samsung Galaxy A54 have no eSIM

Only models sold in Europe, North America, South Korea and Japan have eSIM, according to Samsung's own list of eSIM phones (Samsung). Versions sold in other regions may have no eSIM.

What to know about the Samsung Galaxy A54

Bought abroad or imported? Check it. Samsung warns that, depending on the country of origin, eSIM may not be supported even on a model it lists. Dial *#06#: an EID line means the eSIM is there. Or open Settings > Connections > SIM manager: an Add eSIM option means you can add one, the same menu you use to install it.

Before you buy a travel eSIM. Samsung adds that eSIM service varies by country and carrier, and a phone bought on a carrier contract may be locked to it: run the 30-second check, then install a travel eSIM on Android.

Check your own Samsung Galaxy A54

Two minutes on the phone itself settles it, whichever version you have.

  1. Dial *#06#

Open the phone app and dial *#06#. If a number labelled EID appears, your phone supports eSIM.

  2. On a Samsung Galaxy

Go to Settings, then Connections, then SIM manager. If you can add an eSIM, it supports eSIM.

  3. Check it is unlocked

A phone bought from a carrier on contract may be locked to it. Ask your carrier, or look for a Carrier Lock line in your settings that says No SIM restrictions.
