Late October and November are among the busiest weeks of the year for international conferences and trade fairs. Several large events fall in the same few weeks, sometimes in the same week, which means a lot of people traveling between Europe, the Gulf and Asia with a full calendar and a phone they need to work from the moment they land.
This guide lists 13 of the big ones, with dates and venues checked on each event's official site, and which coverage fits each trip. For six of them, we have a full guide with the airport transfer and venue tips.

Which coverage fits each event
Europe: one regional plan
Seven of the events are in countries covered by our Europe region: Portugal, Germany, Finland, Spain, Italy and the UK are all among its 30 countries. One install covers the whole trip, including a stop in a second country on the way.

If you already have an EU mobile plan, it may roam within the EU at domestic rates. The UK is a different case: many EU plans no longer include it, so check your plan before WTM. More on this in eSIM for Europe and travel eSIM vs international roaming.
The Gulf: one plan per country
The UAE and Saudi Arabia each have their own country plans. A trip that crosses from one to the other needs a plan for each.

In the UAE, voice and video calls over some apps (WhatsApp among them) have historically been restricted, while messaging works. Check the current rules before you rely on app calls.
Flights to the Gulf have been disrupted in 2026. Several foreign airlines have suspended their UAE flights into November or later, and UK and US travel advice warns that regional airspace can close at short notice. Asia: country plan or Asia Pacific

What helps at every event
The same few habits matter whichever show you attend.
- Install before you fly. Set up the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi, so it is working when you land. Most plans start counting days when they first connect at your destination. Guides: iPhone, Android, and does my phone support eSIM?
- Do not count on venue Wi-Fi. Thousands of people on one network slow it down at keynotes and breaks. Your own data is the backup that works.
- Plan for hotspotting. If you will work from your laptop at the venue, choose enough data for it. See fixed, daily or unlimited data.
- Carry a power bank. Badges, maps, messaging and hotspotting drain a phone before evening.
