Free Wi-Fi at CDG

The free network is WIFI-AIRPORT, the same at Charles de Gaulle and Orly. Paris Aéroport describes it as free and unlimited.

  • Select it, then accept the terms on the welcome page that opens in your browser.
  • Turn off any VPN until you are connected: the welcome page needs to load first.
  • Speed is not guaranteed and can slow at busy times.
  • It is an open network, so the airport advises using mobile data rather than this Wi-Fi for banking or email.

Buying a SIM card after arrivals

Tourist SIM cards are sold at Relay newsagents rather than operator shops. Orange sells its Holiday SIM in some airport Relay shops, and Bouygues Telecom sells My European SIM at Relay, but neither says which CDG shops stock it, so ask.

  • Most CDG Relay shops are in departure lounges. The ones you can reach after arrivals are in the Terminal 2E arrivals area and the public areas of Terminals 2E, 2F and 3.
  • Bouygues Telecom lists My European SIM at 39.90 euros for 30 GB (checked October 2026). Orange does not publish its in-store Holiday price.
  • Bring your passport: both operators require you to register the SIM in your name within 30 days, or the line is cut.

Mobile networks in France

France has four main mobile networks: Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile. A travel eSIM connects to one of them as a roaming partner, which is why data roaming must be on for the eSIM line. The partner network can differ from plan to plan, so check the plan details, or ask us at support@esimlounge.com before you buy.
