Free Wi-Fi at ATH

The free network is ATH Free Wi-Fi, available inside the terminal (Athens airport).

  • Select it and open a browser: the ATH Free Wi-Fi portal opens.
  • Tap Connect to the Internet.
  • Sessions are time-limited. When one ends, log in again at no cost.

Free Internet Access Points around the terminal also give 15 minutes of web access.

Buying a SIM card after arrivals

Sim Local sells Vodafone SIM cards in two shops, both open 06:00 to 22:00 every day: one in the landside arrivals hall at Exit 1, the other in the baggage reclaim hall (opposite belt 1, non-Schengen side). There are also Sim Local vending machines in the Schengen baggage reclaim hall and in the satellite arrivals area (Athens airport).

Greece's three operators are Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova. Vodafone's tourist bundles cost €20 for 25 GB and 200 minutes over 20 days, or €30 for unlimited data in Greece and 200 minutes over 30 days (Vodafone's own prices, checked October 2026; the airport shop may charge differently). Bring your passport or ID.

Mobile networks in Greece

Greece's main mobile networks are Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova. A travel eSIM connects to one of them as a roaming partner, which is why data roaming must be on for the eSIM line. The partner network can differ from plan to plan, so check the plan details, or ask us at support@esimlounge.com before you buy.
