Buying a SIM card after arrivals
SIM cards from Singtel, StarHub and M1 are sold in every terminal. In Terminals 1 and 2, Changi Recommends has a counter in the Level 1 Arrival Hall; Cheers, 7-Eleven, money changers and StarHub also sell them, and Terminals 3 and 4 follow the same pattern. Prices run from S$12 to S$50: Singtel's S$12 card gives 100 GB of local data and 3 GB of roaming for 14 days (checked October 2026). Bring your passport to register the SIM. International cards are accepted; cash must be Singapore dollars.
eSIM plans for Singapore
Install one at home before you fly and you are online when the wheels touch down, with no queue at a SIM counter.
Mobile networks in Singapore
Singapore has four mobile networks: Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA. Singtel, StarHub and M1 switched off their 3G networks in 2024, so service runs on 4G and 5G. A travel eSIM connects to one of them as a roaming partner, which is why data roaming must be on for the eSIM line. The partner network can differ from plan to plan, so check the plan details, or ask us at support@esimlounge.com before you buy.
